These songs are about 80% improvised. We each brought in little song kernels and ideas, and someone would start playing, and the rest would happen. Most of it we would never play again, or even remember.

We had a lot of good nights like this, rehearsing at Music City in San Francisco. Matt recorded all these conversations on his Zoom stereo recorder. Ryan picked the 18 May 2017 recording, edited it, mixed it, and here you go.
